Privacy policy

Who we are

Vow & Kin is provided by Lagerman Labs LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company. This policy applies to the Vow & Kin iOS app and the no-download web questionnaire opened from a private invitation.

Information we handle

• Account information: a photographer's email address, account identifier, and authentication records.
• Wedding planning information: names, relationships, wedding date, family groupings, photo preferences, notes, and the resulting ordered shot plan.
• Invitation information: wedding and invitation identifiers used to connect a couple's private response to the correct photographer record.
• Support information: messages and files you choose to send when asking us for help.
• Service and security information: our hosting and authentication providers may process IP addresses, browser or device details, and request logs to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

We use this information only to:

• create and authenticate photographer accounts;
• save and synchronize wedding plans;
• deliver private questionnaires and return completed responses;
• provide support, prevent abuse, and protect the service; and
• meet legal obligations and enforce our rights.

When information is shared

We disclose information to service providers that host, secure, and operate Vow & Kin, including Supabase for authentication and cloud data and Cloudflare for web delivery. They process information for us under their own security and privacy commitments.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of business assets. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Retention and deletion

Photographer account and cloud wedding records remain available until the photographer deletes the account or asks us to delete them. The in-app deletion control permanently removes the account and its active cloud wedding records, and clears Vow & Kin data stored by the app on that device. Limited copies may remain temporarily in provider backups or security logs before they expire.

Couples do not create Vow & Kin accounts. Their responses become part of the photographer's wedding record. A couple can ask the photographer who sent the invitation to correct or remove a response, or contact us for help identifying the appropriate record.

Your choices

Photographers can update their work in the app, request a password reset from the sign-in screen, and delete their account from Cloud account > Delete account. Additional request options are described on our privacy choices page.

Children

Vow & Kin is a professional wedding-planning tool and is not directed to children under 13. Please do not submit information about a child beyond what is reasonably needed for a wedding photo grouping.

Security and changes

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as Vow & Kin changes. The updated date above will show when a revision takes effect.
